divinemoon: Obatala is the father of all the Orishas and humankind. He is the source of all purity, wisdom, and compassion. His color is white and although it may altar depending his various caminos, white is overall. White is the most appropriate color for Obatala because apart from containing all the colors of the rainbow, it is above them all. He is the only Orisha that has both male and female paths.. There are variations for smaller roads and female avatars of Obatala. These include Obamoro, a path of male sex which is very old and prefer a quiet, calm; Ayáguna, a young and vibrant, male who is a fighter and Warrior; Ochanlá, one very old women sitting in silence and contemplation of the worlds, and Oshagiyan, an ancient road male who knows the suffering that war causes worldwide and advocates peace and diplomacy.
